Jessica Winder - Fine Artist
I am fascinated by the natural world and natural processes. I love to photograph colours, textures and patterns in the details of plants, animals, rocks and metals - especially but not exclusively those found on the coast and at the seaside. I also try to capture ephemeral natural phenomena in the movement of such things as sediments and water. I am always finding new subjects to challenge myself which means that some of the photographic topics on this site will fall outside the interests described above. I write 'Jessica's Nature Blog' - an on-line account of the natural history of seashores in the UK along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset and the Gower Peninsula in Wales at http://natureinfocus.WordPress.com. I also run a consultancy 'Oysters etc' researching marine mollusc shells from archaeological sites.
